How we make the coating last
- Surface preparation. Abrasive blasting to the grade specified in the design and the right roughness profile — without this even an expensive coating will peel off.
- Application conditions. We monitor air humidity and steel temperature relative to the dew point: we never paint “sweating” steel.
- Recoat intervals. Each following coat is applied strictly within the window specified by the material manufacturer.
- Thickness of each coat. We check the wet film with an Elcometer comb gauge during work and the dry film with DeFelsko PosiTector 6000 gauges. Measurement reports are handed over at acceptance.
